In 2010, the NC State Fairgrounds added an RV campground at the north end of Youth Center Drive behind the Gov. James B. Hunt Jr. Horse Complex. The campground has full hookups including 50 amp electric as well as a dump station on the access road.

There are also many older RV hookup locations scattered around the main fairgrounds property. Most of these sites have water and 20 or 30 amp electric. Some have sewer and water.

The campsites are all "first-come, first-serve". Check in upon arrival by calling (919) 612-6767.
